{"id":175966,"date":"2014-08-08T04:00:24","date_gmt":"2014-08-07T18:00:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=175966"},"modified":"2014-08-08T04:00:24","modified_gmt":"2014-08-07T18:00:24","slug":"kilili-optimistic-chccs-future-plans","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/kilili-optimistic-chccs-future-plans\/","title":{"rendered":"Kilili optimistic on CHCC\u2019s future plans"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cI am very optimistic about the Commonwealth Healthcare Corp.\u2019s future plans for the CNMI,\u201d Delegate Gregorio Kilili C. Sablan told CHCC executives and partners at the Lao Lao Bay Golf Resort in Kagman on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Sablan said he\u2019s been glad to help address issues with the Commonwealth Health Center and has been conferring with agencies and CHCC as well on how to further improve the hospital\u2019s services.<\/p>\n<p>Sablan told CHCC officials he is rooting for them and hopes they will pick things back up and continue providing public health services to the CNMI. <\/p>\n<p>Dr. Sharleen Osman, director for Medical Affairs for CHCC, said she is happy that Sablan has been responding to the hospital\u2019s cry for funding.<\/p>\n<p>This was echoed by CHCC chief executive officer Esther Mu\u00f1a, chief financial officer Jack Taitague, and hospital administrator Jess Tudela, who also expressed gratitude to Sablan for helping secure the $50,000 grant that the U.S Department of Agriculture\u2019s Rural Development presented to CHCC on Wednesday. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe hospital does have other larger grant applications with USDA and the CNMI was able to open up and establish and nurture our partnership with USDA and the USDA has been very responsive in what they can do for the CNMI,\u201d Sablan told Saipan Tribune after the grant presentation. <\/p>\n<p>Sablan also expressed confidence in the ability of CHC to obtain recertification from the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey are addressing that problem but it\u2019s something that the CHCC management has to do and not get involved with the politicians.
