The 5.7-mile run will include on-road and off-road terrain. Runners and their cheering parties can enjoy exploring Kosrae\u2019s lush rainforests, ancient ruins, and meeting local craftspeople along with world-class diving with one of Kosrae\u2019s local dive shops.<\/p>\n<p>The secluded island of Kosrae, located halfway between Hawaii and Guam, is home to some of the world\u2019s most unspoiled coral reefs and blue-water dive sites.\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p>The $15 race entry fee includes a commemorative race tee shirt. The deadline for the race registration is Aug. 31.\u00a0 Runners and walkers are encouraged to participate. <\/p>\n<p>Two hotels on the island\u2014The Kosrae Village Resort and Pacific Treelodge Resort\u2014are offering special room rates around the time of the Rockhopper Run. Accommodations are also available at the Kosrae Nautilus Resort.
