{"id":176527,"date":"2014-08-15T04:00:06","date_gmt":"2014-08-14T18:00:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=176527"},"modified":"2014-08-15T04:00:06","modified_gmt":"2014-08-14T18:00:06","slug":"mva-preps-domannaka-jata-travel-showcase","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/mva-preps-domannaka-jata-travel-showcase\/","title":{"rendered":"MVA preps for Domannaka, JATA Travel Showcase"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Marianas Visitors Authority is preparing for the 15thNippon Domannaka Festival to be held in Nagoya, Japan on Aug. 29-31, 2014.  <\/p>\n<p>The MVA will send a delegation of indigenous Carolinian dancers to the event, which features dance troupes from throughout Japanand a handful of dance groups from outside the country.  The Northern Marianas has been a regular invitee to the festival for a number of years.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are looking forward to sending a delegation for what we anticipate will be another well-received performance at the Domannaka Festival this year,\u201d said MVA marketing manager Bruce Bateman.  \u201cThrough the years, we have forged a strong relationship with the festival, and the audience always seems to enjoy the Northern Marianas\u2019 cultural presentation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The MVA is also preparing for the 2014 JATA Travel Showcase, one of Asia\u2019s largest tourism events and scheduled for Sept. 25-28, 2014, in Tokyo.<\/p>\n<p>JATA \u201cTABIHAKU\u201d Travel Showcase will be held at Tokyo Big Sight Convention Center and is expected to attract well over 100 national tourism agencies, airlines, hotels, travel agencies, cruise companies, and other tourism businesses.  The expo is internationally recognized as one of the largest travel events in the world.
