The Commonwealth Healthcare Corp. has been awarded a Pursuit of Excellence certificate by Mountain-Pacific Quality Health.<\/p>\n
Mountain-Pacific, a subsidiary of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services or CMS, lauded CHC for providing quality care for the people of the CNMI.<\/p>\n
Mountain Pacific in partnership with CMS engages providers and brings evidence to CMS that several hospitals provided by Mountain Pacific show improvement on patient care, empowers patients on managing their own health, and encourages community collaboration for trainings.<\/p>\n
Mountain Pacific in Hawaii works directly with hospitals, home health agencies, and nursing homes in the U.S Pacific territories including CNMI.<\/p>\n
It also provides hospitals an educational training and resources to improve the hospitals knowledge base and expand quality improvement efforts.<\/p>\n
Health stakeholders in the CNMI are visited and coordinated by Learning and Action Networks under Mountain Pacific. The trips are done regularly on each island through memberships from local community healthcare organizations and health families.<\/p>\n
As part of CHC\u2019s improvement on services; CHC provides trainings for its employees and Mountain Pacific is part of the training providers that CHC has.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe commend CHC for its commitment to improving the quality care and quality of life for the residents of the CNMI,\u201d said Mountain Pacific in Hawaii director Dee Dee Nelson. <\/p>\n
