Sablan Elementary School to welcome students to the new school year Aug. 16. <\/p>\n<p>To help prepare the campus, Sailors prepared pamphlets, painted benches, curbs and parking lots, bush cut grass, swept walkways, and removed debris from the school grounds. <\/p>\n<p>Capt. Andy Anderson, commanding officer, U.S. Naval Base Guam, volunteered at the Agat school with his family and emphasized the importance for Sailors to be out in the community. <\/p>\n<p> \u201cIn the military, what our job is really, is community service,\u201d he said. \u201cThat\u2019s what the military is all about. It\u2019s about servicing people and taking care of humanity. What better place is there to do that than here at Marcial A. Sablan Elementary.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Coastal Riverine Group 1 Det.
