\nOn Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014, Giovanni\u2019s will celebrate its 19th birthday\u2014and you are invited to celebrate with us! <\/p>\n

Apericena is an Italian term coined from the words aperitivo, which means open, and cena, which means dinner. The stand-up cocktail dinner is priced at $45 per person ($35 for Club at the Hyatt\u00ae members).<\/p>\n

For its birthday, Giovanni\u2019s will celebrate the rustic, unpretentious and authentic Italian cuisine on which the restaurant has built its reputation. Executive chef Gabriele Colombo, who has vast experience in the regional flavors and cooking techniques of Italy, will spearhead the celebration\u2019s culinary team.<\/p>\n

The birthday celebration has been designed as a gastronomic journey through the Italian countryside and Chef Colombo\u2019s inspired cooking. One of the featured dishes of the evening will be potato gnocchi (Italian for dumplings). And what makes this dish so special?<\/p>\n

\u201cMy mother taught me how to cook potato gnocchi in our home kitchen,\u201d says Colombo, who also loves to cook spaghetti aglio, olio e pepperoncino. These and many other dishes will be featured at Giovanni\u2019s nineteenth birthday bash.<\/p>\n
