(Contributed Photo)<br \/><\/figcaption><\/figure><br \/>\nSmoke Pub Magic 8-Ball squeezed out an 8-7 win over the Poseidon Titans in the weekly 2014 Budweiser Open 8-Ball Thursday League held last Thursday in various bars on the island.<\/p>\n<p>A win in the two reverse doubles kept the Titans in the game as they tied the match at 7-7 to force a deciding game.<\/p>\n<p>Magic 8-Ball, who started the season at fourth place, kept their composure and played more focused in the deciding doubles match to secure the win that hiked their record to 29-17 against the Titans\u2019 27-18 slate.<\/p>\n<p>Route33 Armatech Hustlers and Jokers Homeboyz also downed separate foes to remain within striking distance of the leaders.<\/p>\n<p>The Hustlers trounced National Alamo Car Rental, 10-5, while the Homeboyz completed a 9-6 decision over Wild Bill\u2019s Wild Wild West.<\/p>\n<p>Rout 33 Armatech now holds a 25-20 record trailing Smoke Pub and Poseidon by four and two wins, respectively. The Homeboyz\u2019 are at fourth with a 24-21 slate.<\/p>\n<p>National Alamo Car Rental dropped to fifth with 22-23, while Wild Bill\u2019s is tied with the Barcode Breakers at sixth to seventh spots with similar 20-25 cards.<\/p>\n<p>Jonny\u2019s Team SCS, which suffered a 10-5 demolition at the hands of the Barcode Breakers, remained at the cellar with a 13-32 card.<\/p>\n<p>In the six-team Tuesday League, the Jokers IT&#038;E Voyagers coasted to a 12-3 demolition of the Jonny\u2019s Crazy 8s (22-23) to hold a slim one-win edge over sister team Str8 Shooters.<\/p>\n<p>The Voyagers hold a 31-14 mark, while the Shooters is one game behind at 30-15, followed closely by the 27-18 mark of Saipan TV Hustlers, which completed a 14-1 crushing of the hapless Smoke Pub Sang&#038;D\u2019Gang (14-31).<\/p>\n<p>Smoke Pub Lanchun Girls are at the bottom of the six-team field with an 11-34 slate after absorbing an 11-4 beating from the Str8 Shooters.
