As government counsel, Stump served as the governor\u2019s special counsel and the Commonwealth Lottery Commission\u2019s counsel, among other things.<\/p>\n<p>Jay Santos, general manager for Triple J Five Star Wholesale Foods and Triple J Truckload Store, confirmed yesterday that Stump began working as legal counsel for Triple J on Sept. 2.<\/p>\n<p>Gov. Eloy S. Inos\u2019 acting press secretary Ivan Blanco separately confirmed Stump\u2019s resignation from government.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe government appreciates Mr. Stump\u2019s long service and we wish him well in his new post in the private sector,\u201d Blanco said.<\/p>\n<p>Commerce Secretary Sixto Igisomar separately said yesterday that Stump is \u201ccalm and collected even though he\u2019s in the middle of a storm.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Igisomar, as chairman of the Lottery Commission that reviewed and granted an exclusive Saipan casino license, worked closely with Stump for months. Igisomar spoke of Stump\u2019s professionalism, determination, and knowledge.<\/p>\n<p>Igisomar added that Stump was instrumental in helping the Lottery Commission weather storms as they reviewed the applications for the casino license and related matters.  <\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s very strong and determined.
