{"id":180095,"date":"2014-09-25T04:00:22","date_gmt":"2014-09-24T18:00:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=180095"},"modified":"2014-09-25T04:00:22","modified_gmt":"2014-09-24T18:00:22","slug":"two-week-forager-fury-iii-exercise-kicks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/two-week-forager-fury-iii-exercise-kicks\/","title":{"rendered":"Two-week Forager Fury III exercise kicks off"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>ANDERSEN AIR FORCE BASE, Guam<\/strong>\u2014Forager Fury III will take place from Sept. 24 through Oct. 7 on Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, Tinian\u2019s West and North Fields, and Farallon de Medinilla Target Range. <\/p>\n<p>Forager Fury III is firmly grounded in the successes and lessons learned from prior exercises conducted in the Mariana Island Range Complex. <\/p>\n<p>During Forager Fury III, Anderson Air Force Base will serve as the MAG-12 forward operating base and will be the venue for the MAG-12 operations center. <\/p>\n<p>Training on Tinian\u2019s West Field includes emplacement of arresting gear and fuel storage\/distribution for purposes of extending aviation training throughout the Mariana Island Range Complex. <\/p>\n<p>Training on Tinian\u2019s North Field includes clearing, stripping and repairing the landing surface on Abel, Baker, Charlie, and Dog runways and the installation of matting for fixed-wing operations. <\/p>\n<p>Forager Fury III also incorporates an aviation training relocation event, which has been bilaterally coordinated with the government of Japan for execution in Guam.
