(Contributed Photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure><br \/>\nTeam Angel went undefeated to clinch the crown in the final edition of the Sta. Remedios slow-pitch softball fundraising tournament held over the weekend at the Capital Hill Ballfield.<\/p>\n<p>Team Angel went undefeated against five other teams, including Team Akarri, in the elimination round to clinch the top seeding in the winners bracket.<\/p>\n<p>They won three more matches in the playoff round after that and was declared the champions by the organizers after the rains won\u2019t stop last Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Team Mamaaw and Team 45 No More Rice came in third second and third, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>The Rey Saralu-led Team Akarri, which topped the first edition of the tournament after a 15-9 thumping of Natibu two weeks ago, failed in their title bid as they got eliminated in the playoffs.<\/p>\n<p>The tournament is a fundraising event for next month\u2019s Sta. Remedios Fiesta in Tanapag.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 15 teams joined the two editions of the fundraising event.<\/p>\n<p>During the first tournament, held from Sept. 5 to 7, Saralu was consistent with his hitting to power Akarri to the title.
