Lin and Carhill will be guests of the Empty Vessel Ministry and be passing out educational materials and speaking individually with persons who think they may have a child with a bleeding disorder.<\/p>\n<p>Women with bleeding disorders may have the following symptoms:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Heavy and long-lasting menstrual periods. <\/p>\n<p>The average menstrual period lasts anywhere from two to seven days. In contrast, many women with bleeding disorders experience:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Periods lasting more than 7 days<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Periods that pass clots the size of a quarter<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Periods requiring more than one pad every 2 hours<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Iron deficiency<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 If you have ever required a blood transfusion because of severe bleeding<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Heavy bleeding and hemorrhaging after childbirth<\/p>\n<p>Source: National Hemophilia Foundation website<\/p>\n<p>If you or your daughter experience these symptoms, come down to the Street Market and we will give you the next steps to be further assessed at CHC.
