Ada has pointed “across the street” to Coral Ocean Point as a possible suitor to adopt the Koblerville gym that is currently being built that the Public School System may no longer need.

As reported earlier, PSS is reviewing whether they would need such a gym as the recent middle school reconfiguration and the unprecedented population number at Marianas High School may make the need for a new high school a higher priority.

The Koblerville gym was initially intended to be built for the proposed Koblerville Junior High School, but the administrative costs PSS would shoulder with the new gym and the lack of commitment from the government in building a new junior high puts its use into question.

“I think it would be good to meet with Coral Ocean Point because the gym is right across. If [COP] can adopt the gym, provide for maintenance [and] repairs as part of community service, they get a tax break for that.
