{"id":182758,"date":"2014-10-23T04:00:12","date_gmt":"2014-10-22T18:00:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=182758"},"modified":"2014-10-23T04:00:12","modified_gmt":"2014-10-22T18:00:12","slug":"palau-senate-passes-salary-increase-govt-employees","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/palau-senate-passes-salary-increase-govt-employees\/","title":{"rendered":"Palau Senate passes a salary  increase for govt employees"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>KOROR, Palau <\/strong>(Island Times\/PIR)\u2014The Palau Senate passed in the third and final reading on Thursday the proposed law that increases the salary of national government employees by $25 bi-weekly.<\/p>\n<p>This bill implements, beginning on Oct. 1, 2015, a $25 bi-weekly salary increase for every civil servant that will ensure that all civil servants are paid at least the minimum wage.<\/p>\n<p>Some 1,041 employees of the national government are covered by the salary increase.
