Ada Gymnasium.

Kagman notched its fourth win in five games to tie idle Sonics in second place behind the unbeaten Ol’Aces (4-0), The Runnin’ Rebels, who are a late addition to the division, absorbed their first loss after debuting win a victory over Laly 4 (0-3).

The Sparks’ starters, who are composed of the core of the Kagman High School varsity team, proved to be too much for the young Runnin’ Rebels crew. Jonathan Santos, Allan Yu, Jesse Santos, Mike Muna, and Andrew Palino made up the starting five of the Sparks and all hit the board early and combined for majority of the team’s points to dominate the Runnin’ Rebels. With Santos and company working together, Kagman did not even need the services of big man Jason Lampkin, who stayed on the bench and watched his team stop the Runnin’ Rebels.

Jonathan Santos led Kagman with his 16 points, Yu added 14, and Jesse Santos contributed 12. Mike Muna and Andrew Palino combined for 12 markers, while Ton Malwelbug came off the bench and chipped in 7.

Matthew Peters had 16 for the Runnin’ Rebels, who also got 10 and 8 markers, respectively, from Ken Abobo and E.J. Ermitanio, and the rest of the team totaled for 15 points.

The Runnin’ Rebels trailed right at the get-go, as it could not contain Kagman’s starters. Kagman, on the other hand, increased its lead as the game progressed to take the easy win.

Kagman 70 – Jo. Santos 16, Yu 14, Je.
