(Contributed Photo)\n\n\t\t\t\t<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\t\t<\/div>\n<br \/>\n<strong>GUAM<\/strong>\u2014United Airlines inaugurated yesterday daily non-stop service between its Guam hub and Seoul, South Korea, offering an opportunity for South Korean passengers to travel to Guam and the region. The airline uses Boeing 737-800 aircraft to operate the route.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJoined by our customers and business partners, we are thrilled to celebrate the launch of the daily nonstop service to Seoul today,\u201d said Sam Shinohara, United\u2019s managing director, Business Development &#8211; Asia\/Pacific. \u201cAs Guam\u2019s hometown airline, we are delighted to bring additional economic benefits to our tourism industry and further expand the extensive route network from our Guam hub.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe congratulate United on their service from Seoul to Guam and appreciate their commitment in promoting Guam as a premier destination. Our partnership to grow arrivals is very important to us as we continue efforts to diversify and strengthen our markets,\u201d said Karl Pangelinan, general manager of Guam Visitors Bureau. \u201cWe look forward to welcoming more visitors from Korea and encouraging them to return to experience Guam\u2019s H\u00e5fa Adai spirit and unique cultural heritage.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Inaugural ceremony<\/strong><br \/>\nThe inaugural ceremony was held at Guam\u2019s A.B. Won Pat International Airport yesterday morning with the arrival of flight 164 from Seoul. Customers were welcomed by representatives of the United Guam sales team, Guam Visitors Bureau, government officials and Miss Guam. The celebration included a water salute, welcome leis and local refreshments.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Flight schedule<\/strong><br \/>\nFlight UA163 departs Guam\u2019s A. B. Won Pat Guam International Airport daily at 8:05am and arrives at Seoul\u2019s Incheon International Airport at 12:10pm the same day (all times local). The return flight, flight UA164, departs Incheon daily at 10:25pm and arrives at Guam International Airport at 4am the following day (all times local). Flying times are approximately five hours 5five minutes northbound and four hours 35 minutes southbound.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Onboard products and services<\/strong><br \/>\nUnited\u2019s Boeing 737-800 series aircraft are configured with 155 seats: 14 United Business and 141 United Economy. <\/p>\n<p>United Business offers a superior business-class service. United Business amenities include comfortable leather seats, multi-course meals with complimentary premium wines and spirits. It also offers audio inflight entertainment with complimentary headsets as well as overhead screens delivering complimentary movies.<\/p>\n<p>United Economy seats feature adjustable headrests and overhead screens delivering in-flight video entertainment. <\/p>\n<p><strong>United in South Korea<\/strong><br \/>\nUnited began non-stop service to South Korea in 1986 and today serves Seoul\u2019s Incheon International Airport with daily non-stop flights from San Francisco, using Boeing 747-400 aircraft, and from Tokyo, using Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
