(CONTRIBUTED PHOTO)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\u201cI arrived [on] Saipan on Aug. 29, my birthday, at 3am,\u201d Curtis said. \u201cI stayed up the entire morning and when the sun came up I went to my window from the hotel and took in the sights of a beautiful birthday gift from God. White sands, orange and purple clouds and deep blue water.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Originally from the city of Milwaukee, Curtis comes to Saipan from recent gigs in Hong Kong, China, Thailand, Singapore, Jamaica and other locations. \u201cI love Saipan, this place is very laidback\u2014the vibes are great, the people are genuinely nice and I look forward to meeting more people and making news friends,\u201d Curtis said.<\/p>\n<p>Coming from a family of musicians, Curtis couldn\u2019t escape the art. His mother and father were both musicians, with his father once playing for the Jackson 5. Curtis would pick up different instrument skills from his family members as he grew up such as the bass guitar from his uncle, guitar from his cousins, and piano from his aunt. Curtis eventually became proficient in many types of instrument and music style.<\/p>\n<p>Curtis says his inspirations are split in two. Legends like Michael Jackson, Debarge, Chaka Kahn, and old Motown to today\u2019s more contemporary singers like Neyo, R. Kelly, D\u2019Angelo and Maxwell.<\/p>\n<p>You can hear Curtis performs all these hits and more each night at Club C (except for Monday) from 9pm to 1am.<\/p>\n<p>Club C Saipan, a gaming and entertainment venue located in the 4-star 200-plus-room Kanoa Resort Saipan, features 8,000 square-feet of entertainment space including gaming machines and stadium-style electronic table games with a seating capacity of 150.
