Eloy S. Inos and his running mate Senate President Ralph Torres (R-Saipan) have opened up a close to 1,000-vote lead after the completion of Precincts 1 and 2 and early vote counting.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Commonwealth Election Commission\u2019s tabulation as of 3am, the CNMI Republican Party tandem has 2,931 votes followed by independents Heinz Hofschneider\/Ray Yumul (1,944) and Juan Babauta\/Juan Torres (1,108) and CNMI Democratic Party\u2019s Edward Deleon Guerrero\/Danilo Quitugua (259).<\/p>\n<p>In the U.S. delegate race, incumbent Gregorio Kilili C. Sablan (Ind-MP) continues to widen the gap against former CNMI House representative Andrew Salas.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Commonwealth Election Commission\u2019s 3am tally of Precinct 1 and 2 votes as well as early voting, Sablan has garnered 3,621 votes as against Salas\u2019 2,235 votes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Gov.
