It was pretty great because I also ran into some great candidates who are also great friends.

The minute I finished voting, I walked across the road to say “hi” and I saw a couple of friends with tears in their eyes and I asked what was wrong and they looked at me smiling and they said, “You’re walking.” I turned to them, smiled, and said, “Now all I’ve got to do is get on ‘Dancing with the Stars!’” It was a beautiful moment, laughing with them.

For the past few elections, they needed to come to the house so that I can exercise this great right to “choose” who we think can best represent what is best for the wonderful people of our paradise. So for the first time in a long time, I “walked in” to the voting booth and chose who I know will best represent us.

The one guy who I’ve wanted to see for a long time was Kilili. It was bittersweet because I found out that he has back problems himself, which is painful, to say the least. But the one thing I know about Greg is he could be bedridden but that won’t stop him from taking great care of representing us and our interests in the nation’s capital.

The same is true about Eloy. This man is unstoppable! Once he starts something, he won’t quit until the job is done. He is truly a great man and a great governor. I am proud and honored to know him. He is my friend, former boss, uncle, mentor, etc. We have a little joke between us and that he is “worfted it”! It’s a great privilege to have him in my life.

Now that there will be some changes at the House and Senate, it’s the perfect time to start lobbying for medicinal marihoochi. Why, you may be asking yourselves. The answer is “because it works”! Trust me on this because I know it works.

There’s a federal office that that handles Medicare and Medicaid and they put everyone on notice that the federal government will no longer help subsidize co-payments for any drugs containing any sort of cannabinol and/or THC. There’s this drug called “Marinal” that I used to get and it worked great for me because it gave me the munchies!

One of the symptoms of my stupid disease is anorexia. I’ve got to force myself to eat, literally! I’ve been hospitalized a few times for “severe dehydration” because I have no appetite. Smoking it works and it’s great and all that but, in all honesty, it hurts. It hurts because I always get the good stuff and the good stuff makes me cough, which hurts my back. So for now, no choice because the pills are very expensive.

Good luck, Guam! I truly hope that your initiative passes!

And Biba CNMI! This election is just a preview of the runoff, which I think is a stupid but necessary law. There should have been a primary in the GOP because, let’s face it: Eloy, Heinz, and Juan are Republicans. Let’s call a spade a spade! Let’s stop all the backbiting and stick with the norm. Partisan politics! God bless you all and God bless the CNMI!

Michael Geisinger
Dandan, Saipan

[7
141,51,65,186
post-184070","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-letters-to-the-editor","tag-gop","tag-guam","tag-house","tag-initiative
["GET
