\nThe G-Rollers broke the Runnin\u2019 Rebels back in the second quarter en route to a lopsided 76-44 win in their U21 division game in the 2014 BANMI Youth League last Monday night at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium.<\/p>\n

It was only the G-Rollers\u2019 second win in six games and they will be gunning for third in their last assignment (against Laly 4) in the regular season. The Runnin\u2019 Rebels hold the same 2-4 record and will meet the Sonics in a make-up game on Monday.<\/p>\n

The G-Rollers coasted past the Runnin\u2019 Rebels after a 24-6 scoring spurt in the second quarter, turning a 16-11 advantage to a 40-17 halftime edge. Mike Arciaga led the breakaway, scoring 7 in the second period, while Irvin Malonzo, John Babauta, Prince Factor, and Jason Iglecias chipped in at least two baskets apiece.<\/p>\n

The Runnin\u2019 Rebels, on the other hand, were held to three field goals in the uneventful second period with E.J. Ermitanio, Dennis Moses, and Adrian De Luna drilling one bucket each.<\/p>\n

The Runnin\u2019 Rebels never made it out of the big hole, as it failed to contain Arciaga in the second half. Arciaga, who scored only one basket in the third period, saved his best for last, exploding for 14 points in the final quarter. He recorded the G-Rollers\u2019 first 12 points in the fourth period and also hit the team\u2019s last basket to finish with a game-high 26 markers.<\/p>\n

Arciaga and company managed to ease past the Runnin\u2019 Rebels despite playing with only five players in the first half. Karl Rios reported for the match in the second half when the G-Rollers had the game in control with its much solid starters dominating the younger Runnin\u2019 Rebels crew.<\/p>\n

No Runnin\u2019 Rebels player barged into double figures with Edmon Borja making only 8 points to lead his team. Borja posted the Runnin\u2019 Rebels first 4 points and the first two came in a while, as both teams took some time to heat up after waiting for almost an hour to start the match. The game was delayed due to the lack of referees.<\/p>\n
