Air Force, Navy to conduct training on FDM, Warning Area-517<\/strong><\/p>\n

SANTA RITA, Guam-The Air Force will conduct training on the island of Farallon de Mendinilla on the following dates and times:<\/p>\n

-Sept. 19, from 10am to 7pm<\/p>\n

-Sept. 21-22, from 5:30am to 9pm<\/p>\n

-Sept. 23, from 11am to 9pm<\/p>\n

The Navy will conduct training at Warning Area 517 on Sept. 20-21, from 8:30am to 4:30pm.<\/p>\n

The general public, especially fisherman, commercial pilots and marine tour operators, are advised to stay clear from the area during the times and dates indicated.<\/p>\n

The general location of the training on the island of Farallon de Medinilla training area will be on a 10-nautical mile radius on all quadrants.<\/p>\n

W-517 is an irregular shaped polygon comprising 14,000 nautical square miles of airspace that begins south of Guam and extends south-southwest in international waters. This will affect fishing in the vicinity of Santa Rosa Reef and Galvez Bank.<\/p>\n

Next stop for dog tag registration is Kagman<\/strong><\/p>\n

The next dog tag registration will be from Sept. 19 to Sept. 30 in Kagman. Registration will start at 9am and end at 4pm. (PR)<\/p>\n

Veterans outreach in September<\/strong><\/p>\n

Tina San Agustin, the Department of Veterans Affairs’ legal administrative specialist for Guam and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, will be on Saipan on Sept. 28-29, 2011, for a Veterans Outreach on veterans’ federal benefits. She will be also entertaining questions and assisting veterans and all concerned with their claims.<\/p>\n

Agustin will be stationed at the Military and Veterans Affairs Office on Capitol Hill, building 1364, Saipan, from 8:30am to 4:30pm on both days.<\/p>\n
