{"id":18514,"date":"2011-09-19T06:24:20","date_gmt":"2011-09-19T06:24:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/newspaper.ctsi-logistics.com\/?p=18514"},"modified":"2011-09-19T06:24:20","modified_gmt":"2011-09-19T06:24:20","slug":"community-briefs-september-19-2011","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/community-briefs-september-19-2011\/","title":{"rendered":"COMMUNITY BRIEFS &#8211; September 19, 2011"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Air Force, Navy to conduct training on FDM, Warning Area-517<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>SANTA RITA, Guam-The Air Force will conduct training on the island of Farallon de Mendinilla on the following dates and times:<\/p>\n<p>-Sept. 19, from 10am to 7pm<\/p>\n<p>-Sept. 21-22, from 5:30am to 9pm<\/p>\n<p>-Sept. 23, from 11am to 9pm<\/p>\n<p>The Navy will conduct training at Warning Area 517 on Sept. 20-21, from 8:30am to 4:30pm.<\/p>\n<p>The general public, especially fisherman, commercial pilots and marine tour operators, are advised to stay clear from the area during the times and dates indicated.<\/p>\n<p>The general location of the training on the island of Farallon de Medinilla training area will be on a 10-nautical mile radius on all quadrants.<\/p>\n<p>W-517 is an irregular shaped polygon comprising 14,000 nautical square miles of airspace that begins south of Guam and extends south-southwest in international waters. This will affect fishing in the vicinity of Santa Rosa Reef and Galvez Bank.<\/p>\n<p>For more information, contact the Joint Region Marianas Public Affairs Office at (671) 349-4055\/3209. (PR)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Next stop for dog tag registration is Kagman<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The next dog tag registration will be from Sept. 19 to Sept. 30 in Kagman. Registration will start at 9am and end at 4pm.
