(Jon Perez)<\/figcaption><\/figure><br \/>\nRoman \u201cSonic Boom\u201d Alvarez hopes to avenge his stablemates and snatch the featherweight title from Rob \u201cThe Real Deal Wusstig  when they collide in the main event of Trench Warz 18: Rock &#038; Rumble on Dec. 12.<\/p>\n<p>Organizers are trying to secure the venue for Trench Tech\u2019s final event for the year.<\/p>\n<p>The Alvarez-Wusstig match is one of the three title bouts in next month\u2019s competition, which has  a tentative list of five undercard fights.<\/p>\n<p>Wusstig will be making his second defense of the 145-lb. belt after dethroning former champion Shane \u201cPikaboo\u201d Alvarez in Trench Warz 15: Supremacy by split decision on Dec. 11, 2011. The Countershot MMA fighter successfully defended his featherweight title with a second-round technical knockout of Jessie Fasi two years ago.<\/p>\n<p>Roman and Shane are first cousins and are both Trench Tech fighters like Fasi.<\/p>\n<p>Roman is still undefeated after three fights, two of which were recorded in the Pacific Xtreme Combat. He scored a knockout win by head kick against Jay Taijeron in the first round of their bout in last year\u2019s PXC 40  and then earned a unanimous decision win over McKlane Alfred in PXC 42 early this year.<\/p>\n<p>Wusstig holds a 4-7 mark but has not fought since suffering a unanimous decision loss to Nate Quiniola Thorell in PXC 36 last year.
