With the 2014 gubernatorial runoff in full swing today, the campaigns of Gov. Eloy S. Inos\/Senate Ralph DLG. Torres and former speaker Heinz S. Hofschneider\/Ray N. Yumul took the opportunity to thank their supporters and urge the voting public to exercise their right to suffrage.<\/p>\n

\u201cRalph and I want to thank again the thousands of supporters that have shown through their vote that they support Solutions-Driven Leadership. We are so humbled by your support and we will not let you down.\u201d Inos said.<\/p>\n

The governor also extended his appreciation to the Commonwealth Election Commission for a job well done not only in the Nov. 4 elections but today\u2019s Nov. 21 runoff as well.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to take this opportunity to thank the hardworking people of the Commonwealth Election Commission for helping this election season move smoothly. We know there were some hiccups along the way but you all have done a great job ensuring that every voter is able to cast their ballot and have it counted.\u201d<\/p>\n

The NMI Republican Party standard bearer also appealed to voters to allow him and Torres to continue their work in improving the local economy.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor those that have joined our campaign over the last couple weeks, we welcome you with open arms and are so thankful that you have placed your trust in our leadership. Ralph and I humbly ask for your vote again today. We have much more to accomplish and we know that with you by our side we will continue to move our Commonwealth forward. Ralph and I would also like to remind the voters to please respect the election commission\u2019s regulations so that everyone has the ability to exercise their right to vote peacefully and orderly,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Committee-to-elect Heinz S. Hofschneider and Ray N. Yumul chair David Attao, meanwhile, thanked all their campaign\u2019s supporters as well as those from other camps that joined their cause because they too are pining for change.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to thank all those who have joined us in the quest for change and we appreciate all the help from our supporters, the Babauta-Torres supporters, and the Democrats,\u201d said Attao.<\/p>\n

He said the night before the election runoff, the Hofschneider\/Yumul team is confident that they will finish ahead of their opponents. <\/p>\n

Proof of this is the more than 1,000 people that took part in yesterday afternoon\u2019s road waving campaign, according to Attao.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re very optimistic. We\u2019re hopeful. We need all votes we can get and absentee votes are very important to us as well. We\u2019re hoping to get a good advantage before the absentee votes are counted on Dec. 5.\u201d <\/p>\n

Attao\u2019s message to everyone: \u201cBe confident and be humble in what they do and their beliefs. Their vote is what\u2019s keeping them strong here.\u201d<\/p>\n

He also thanked the Inos-Torres camp for giving them a good run in the general election as well as in today\u2019s runoff.<\/p>\n
