I was accompanied by an exceptional young rider, Wynn Brillo, who also competed for Saipan. This was his first time to compete in this race and he did incredibly well coming in 26th place overall (there were 161 riders that participated, some in the long course, some in the short and some in teams). Wynn and I both competed in the long course. I’m pleased to say that we both took first place in our respective age categories! This was Wynn’s first time to compete in this race and my fourth. I’d like to give a very big “THANK YOU” to my sponsors: the Northern Mariana Islands Cycling Federation, Brabu Pharmacy, Dee Clayton, Lee and Kathleen Bowen, and my friend Arthur who is a teacher with PSS. If it wasn’t for all of you, I would not be able to keep competing in this awesome race. Thank you again and congratulations, Wynn!

Susan Marchitti
Chinatown, Saipan

[7
453,51,40,672
post-185921","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-letters-to-the-editor","tag-brabu-pharmacy","tag-guam","tag-pss","tag-susan-marchitti
["GET
