Monroyo)<\/figcaption><\/figure><br \/>\nDefending champion Saipan Badminton Club jumped to the early lead in the 2014 Traders Insurance Badminton Team Tournament, which opened last Friday at the TSL Sports Complex in Gualo Rai.<\/p>\n<p>SBC signified its intention of keeping the crown as it amassed 31 points after the first three days of play in the 8th edition of the annual tournament.<\/p>\n<p>SBC scored a tough 17-13 decision over Shirley\u2019s last Friday and Saturday then followed it up with a 14-1 romp of Golden Racquets last Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>The three-time titlist, aiming for a fourth straight crown, had a slow start and even allowed Shirley\u2019s to take an 8-7 lead after the first day. SBC then got its game going in Day 2 as it scored a 10-5 victory over Shirley\u2019s.
