Had IT&E Awesome won over Red Team, the former could have improved its record to 11-2-1 and gained 35 points in the double-round robin competition, two points ahead of Shirley’s A, which ended the season with 33 points and an 11-3-0 card after bowing to Shirley’s B. IT&E Awesome wrapped up the competition with 32 markers and a 10-2-2 slate.

IT&E Awesome was in danger of dropping an important match when Red Team took a 2-1 advantage at the break. Temary Gramlich and Zoe Jewell scored one goal apiece for Red Team, whole Nola Hix made IT&E Awesome’s lone goal in the opening frame.

Hix logged another one in the second half, while Michelle Masga also found the back of the net for IT&E’s 3-2 advantage. However, Jewell also scored in the second half, foiling IT&E Awesome’s title bid.

In the second women’s game, Shirley’s A played with no pressure, as the championship was already in the bag after the IT&E Awesome-Red Team draw.

Only Maria Iriarte hit a goal for Shirley’s A, while Gigi Zapanta, Alexa Vergara, Mikky Vargas, and Janeeka Atalig recorded one goal each for Shirley’s B. Shirley’s B finished third in the eight-team field with its 9-5-0 record, one win ahead of Red Team (8-5-1).

MEN’S

Red Inter 7, IT&E 3

Red Inter placed second in the men’s division after a 7-3 triumph over IT&E.

Red Inter finisher the season with a 9-3-2 record, two wins behind champion Wild Bill’s, while IT&E was ranked fifth with its 5-7-2 card.

Edwin Cruz and Arkie Reusora canned two goals apiece in their last game, while David Duenas, Peter Houk, and Dale Roberts added one each.

Kirk Schuler, Yishan Wang, and Jin Han Yoon scored for IT&E.

Mellow Yellow 8, Go Green 2

Mellow Yellow also ended its campaign in the men’s league on a winning note, thumping Go Green, 8-2.

Woo Ho Jin, Young Sin Lim, and Dhras Chetku tallied two goals each for Mellow Yellow, which drew one goal apiece from Kevin McCale and Man Ki Doh.

Panapa Peteru and Jack Phan were the only two players to score for Go Green, which finished sixth with its 4-7-3 slate.
