Songsong, a man arrested by federal agents last week for allegedly having in his possession a laptop that contained child pornographic materials, pleaded not guilty yesterday. <\/p>\n<p>Songsong, who appeared with court-appointed counsel Colin Thompson, pleaded not guilty to an indictment charging him with one count of child pornography.<\/p>\n<p>U.S. District Court for the NMI Chief Judge Ramona V. Manglona set the jury trial for Feb. 2, 2015.<\/p>\n<p>Manglona granted Thompson\u2019s motion to continue the detention hearing in order for the defense to adequately prepare for the proceedings.<\/p>\n<p>The detention hearing will be held on Dec. 15, 2014, at 10am.<\/p>\n<p>Assistant U.S. attorney Ross Naughton appeared for the government at the hearing.<\/p>\n<p>After the hearing, Songson was remanded into the custody of the U.S. Marshal.<\/p>\n<p>According to the indictment, from Feb. 17, 2014, until Feb. 25, 2014, Songsong knowingly possessed a laptop computer containing visual depiction of a child less than 12 years old engaging in sex. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Vincent M.
