(Contributed Photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>In October and November, the FSM Department of Finance received Compact Grant Assistance payments from the United States government totaling over $13.8 million. These payments were for Compact Sector Grants and Supplementary Education Grants:<\/p>\n<p>* Education, $4,056,600<\/p>\n<p>* Health, $3,215,000<\/p>\n<p>* Supplementary Education Grant, $3,085,950<\/p>\n<p>* Infrastructure, $2,247,620<\/p>\n<p>* Public Sector Capacity Building, $504,300<\/p>\n<p>* Private Sector Development, $298,600<\/p>\n<p>* Environment, $238,600<\/p>\n<p>* Enhanced Reporting and Accountability, $190,700<\/p>\n<p>* Total amount, $13,837,370<\/p>\n<p><a attid=\"186911\"  href=\"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/US-provides-pix2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/US-provides-pix2-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"US-provides-pix2\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-186911\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Compact funded project of the month is the furnishing of the Yap College of Micronesia Campus\u2019 Student Center and Computer Lab. Yap\u2019s COM campus has a new fully furnished building to house the Computer Lab, Student Center, and additional classrooms. The furnishings were the finishing touch to this project funded under the Compact Infrastructure Sector grant. <\/p>\n<p>The project began in 2009 with the award of $2.1 million from the Infrastructure Sector Grant to construct the building. The furnishings were provided through an additional grant of $100,000 awarded in 2014.
