{"id":187484,"date":"2014-12-17T04:00:49","date_gmt":"2014-12-16T18:00:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=187484"},"modified":"2014-12-17T04:00:49","modified_gmt":"2014-12-16T18:00:49","slug":"pss-awarded-15000-nga-grant","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/pss-awarded-15000-nga-grant\/","title":{"rendered":"PSS awarded $15,000 NGA grant"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Public School System has been awarded a $15,000 grant from the National Governor\u2019s Association to participate in a project called \u201cPrincipal Effectiveness,\u201d according to Education Commissioner Dr. Rita Sablan, who announced the grant at a CNMI State Board of Education meeting last week.<\/p>\n<p>The project is an effort to review policies regarding principal effectiveness in school districts, she said. The CNMI is one of the several states that have been identified to participate.<\/p>\n<p>PSS will be working with Sarah Silverman, NGA\u2019s program director for its education division, she said.
