Ada International Airport.<\/p>\n<p>All passengers arriving on Dec. 24 and 25, 2014, will be greeted by Saipan-da and two Chamorritas in island attire. Children ages 11 and younger will receive backpacks of the character, which is well-known in Japan and loved by children from all Asian countries. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cLike Santa, Saipan-da will be busy at work on Christmas Eve, bringing smiles to children\u2019s faces,\u201d said MVA marketing manager Bruce Bateman.  \u201cHe\u2019ll continue his efforts throughout Christmas Day to spread holiday cheer.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Saipan-da is a well-known, panda-like character, helping keep the destination name in front of potential visitors from Asian countries. <em>(MVA)<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Saipan-da will be on duty Christmas Eve and Christmas Day in Saipan.
