{"id":188712,"date":"2015-01-06T04:00:00","date_gmt":"2015-01-05T18:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=188712"},"modified":"2015-01-06T04:00:00","modified_gmt":"2015-01-05T18:00:00","slug":"new-chiller-way-public-market","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/new-chiller-way-public-market\/","title":{"rendered":"New chiller on the way for public market"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A new chiller is on the way to help keep fresh the produce in the Garapan Public Market, according to CNMI\u2019s Farmer Cooperative Association treasurer Ike Concepcion, who along with other co-op officials help run the market.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier co-op president Maria \u2018Frica\u2019 Pangelinan expressed that a lack of a chiller to keep produce from rotting was one of the problems the market faced since it opened last August.<\/p>\n<p>In September, the market had asked for funds from the Saipan and Northern Islands Delegation to help address operational costs and a chiller.<\/p>\n<p>The delegation heard the market\u2019s needs when they appropriated $60,000 for the market last month.
