{"id":188954,"date":"2015-01-08T04:00:53","date_gmt":"2015-01-07T18:00:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=188954"},"modified":"2015-01-08T04:00:53","modified_gmt":"2015-01-07T18:00:53","slug":"mayors-office-get-2-new-backhoes-end-january","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/mayors-office-get-2-new-backhoes-end-january\/","title":{"rendered":"Mayor\u2019s office to get 2 new backhoes by end of January"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Two new backhoes for the Saipan Mayor\u2019s Office are anticipated to arrive by the end of January, according to Saipan Mayor Marian Tudela.<\/p>\n<p>Tudela said the two backhoes will be shipped from the port of Long Beach, California on Jan. 7 and the mayor\u2019s office is expecting their arrival on Jan. 30.<\/p>\n<p>Tudela said a brand new dump truck will also be shipped from the same port on Jan. 30 and is expected to arrive in the CNMI in late February.<\/p>\n<p>In an earlier letter, special adviser Henry S. Hofschneider told Tudela that the 2015 Ford F-750 four-wheel drive dump truck is estimated to arrive on Feb. 20 to 25, while the two CASE 580SN four-wheel drive loader backhoes are expected to arrive on Jan. 15 to 20.<\/p>\n<p>The Saipan Mayor\u2019s Office is responsible for paying the shipping cost from California to Saipan. This is estimated to cost $10,800 to $11,000.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese three heavy equipment are very critical to the needs of our people.
