Monroyo)

Real Crispy Pata and Astig Futsal eased their way to victories anew in the2014 SSS Christmas Youth Futsal Tournament.

Real Crispy Pata whipped the Orange Rangers last Saturday,11-0, at the TSL Sports Complex, while Astig Futsal crushed Matansa Sparks last Friday, 8-0. With their separate wins, Real Crispy Pata and Astig Putsal remained tied for the lead in the boys U15 division of the four-team field. They held identical 4-1-0 win-draw-loss record, pending results of their duel last night in the final day of the elimination round.

Regardless of the results of the co-leaders’ collision last Sunday and the other U15 division match between Matansa (1-4) and Orange Rangers (0-5), Astig Futsal and Real Crispy Pata are also in the finals, which will be played this Saturday.

Realty Crispy Pata won its penultimate game in the double-round robin elimination after showing no mercy against the much younger and smaller Orange Rangers’ crew. Edwin Kim led Realty Crispy Pata’s demolition of the Orange Rangers with his hat-trick. He was one of the five scorers for Realty Crispy Pata in the first half, making one, while Bada Lee drilled two, and Cody Leon, Joshua Abragan, and Christopher Aninzo chipped in one each.

Kim added two more in the second frame, while Leon and Abragan still scored in the final 20 minutes of play and Sun Joon Tenorio, who started the last half of the match as a goalie managed to score late in the match.

In the other boys U15 tiff, Astig Futsal also drew goals from six different players to dominate the Matansa Blazers.

Mareko Tekopua and Carlson Crusat fired two goals apiece, while Hark Joshia Galarion, James Ermitanio, Anthony Fruit, and Junsik Kim contributed one each.

In other results over the weekend, Team Betde evened things up with finals rival the Lil’ Rascals after eking out a 9-8 win last Friday. The Lil’ Rascal won their first meeting last month, 6-4.

With the win and coupled by the Team Betde’s draw against Sisig United last Saturday, 7-7, the former took the temporary lead in the co-ed U12 division, pending results of last night’s match between the Lil’ Rascals and Orange Rangers.

Team Betde finished the elimination round with a 4-1-1 slate, while the Lil’ Rascal held a 3-1-1 mark and Sisig United and Orange Rangers had 2-1-3 and 0-0-5 cards, respectively. The Top 2 teams after the elimination round will vie for the division crown this Saturday.

Team Betde notched the morale-boosting win heading into this weekend’s finale after an explosive start in their second meeting with the Lil’ Rascals. Team Betde scored eight goals in the first half with three each coming from Thaiphi Austria and John Michael Rojas to double up the Lil’ Rascals, 8-4. Kohtaro Goto and John Ezekiel Canape added one apiece, while Mark Esalan led the Lil’ Rascals, recording the team’s four goals.

Esalan kept going for the Lil’ Rascals in the second half, registering three more goals, while Go Sekiguchi also hit the board in the final frame to threaten Team Betde. However, Austria scored the needed one goal to keep the win for Team Betde.

Against Sisig United, Austria also led Team Betde with his four goals, while Rojas backed him up with a brace, while Goto logged the other goal. Rintaro Miyawaki matched Austria’s output, while Eun Syu Hahn chipped in three.

[5
618,504,143
post-189170","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-sports","tag-astig-futsal","tag-austria","tag-ball
["GET
