(Jayson Camacho)\n\t\t\t\t<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n<p>New municipal council members for Saipan and the Northern Islands were sworn in at the Kiosk Garden in Chalan Kanoa around 9am. The Saipan Municipal Council\u2019s newest members are Lareina C. Camacho, Alice S. Igitol, and Antonia M. Tudela.<\/p>\n<p>The new council members for Tinian and Aguiguan include Diana H. Borja, Edwin M. Hofschneider, and Reynaldo M. Cing. All three were sworn into office by Tinian Mayor Joey P. San Nicolas.<\/p>\n<p>Cing said they had discussed with outgoing Tinian mayor Ramon Dela Cruz the many problems that need to be addressed on Tinian and that they will work closely with San Nicolas in resolving these issues.<\/p>\n<p>The new council members for Rota included Ivan Mereb Jr., George O. Hocog, and Roman M. Calvo, who were sworn into office after incoming Rota Mayor Efraim Atalig took his oath.<\/p>\n<p>Hocog, the elected chairman for the council, has high hopes for the future.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe hope to work with the leaders of Rota and the leaders of the CNMI to give our people in Rota a better living, especially since we are experiencing so many hardships, most specifically economic. There hasn\u2019t been any boats coming into Rota and [stores] have low supplies,\u201d Hocog said.<\/p>\n<p>Hocog also said that Rota\u2019s West Harbor will be worked on in the near future for a solution.
