Hofschneider, the newest member of the 14th CNMI State Board of Education, says her contribution to public schools is her strong leadership.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn any system like the Public School System, there needs to be a strong sense of leadership at the very top level,\u201d she told Saipan Tribune after her swearing in on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will continue to focus on the four priorities that we have established. And that is, effective and efficient operations, student learning\u2014but as in any system it will take the entire parts of the mechanism to make it work. So it\u2019s very important that all the basic support systems are there to deliver what the community wants us to deliver,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>On Tinian, she said, just like any other school, she would like to see student learning continue and the organization provide the necessary support to make it work.<\/p>\n<p>Hofschneider has been described as a \u201clong-time educator\u201d and has been praised by her colleagues. She is a former Tinian Sr. Jr. High School principal. She retired in 2008.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Florine M.
