Marianas High School\u2019s varsity and junior varsity teams along with Saipan International School V are undefeated after the second day of action in the Marianas Interscholastic Sports Organization Girls Volleyball League last Tuesday at the MHS Gymnasium.<\/p>\n
MHS varsity scored an easy 25-5, 25-19, 15-6 decision over their counterparts from Kagman High School to follow up its two wins over the varsity squads of Grace Christian Academy and Mt. Carmel School last week.<\/p>\n
MHS V is on top of the 11-team field with a 3-0 card, followed by the 2-0 slates of MHS JV and SIS V.<\/p>\n
MHS JV notched its second straight win after disposing of SIS JV, 25-14, 25-11, 15-9, while SIS V kept Kagman winless after three games with a quick 25-12, 25-19, 15-2 demolition.<\/p>\n
Mt. Carmel improved its record to 2-1 following a 25-12, 25-18, 15-6 decision over Saipan Southern High School V, while SSHS JV and GCA V also defeated their respective rivals to bounce back from opening game losses.<\/p>\n
Saipan Southern\u2019s JV squad escaped with a 25-18, 25-20, 15-11 triumph over MCS JV, while GCA V dealt SSHS V its third straight loss, 25-13, 25-11, 15-12, to even their records to 1-1.<\/p>\n
In other news, league organizers are reminding all coaches not to leave until all of their players have left the MHS campus.<\/p>\n
\u201cI know that we\u2019re all hungry and tired by the end of the games, but the safety of our student-athletes must always comes first,\u201d said Northern Mariana Islands Volleyball Association representative Toni Yamada.<\/p>\n
She added that since most of the players, coaches, and fans are already adults they should be responsible enough to pick up their thrash.<\/p>\n
\u201cI find it quite disgusting when there is trash left behind.
