{"id":189532,"date":"2015-01-16T04:00:12","date_gmt":"2015-01-15T18:00:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=189532"},"modified":"2015-01-16T04:00:12","modified_gmt":"2015-01-15T18:00:12","slug":"transpac-group-walks-red","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/transpac-group-walks-red\/","title":{"rendered":"Transpac group \u2018Walks for the Red\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The American Red Cross is pleased to announce that the Transpac group of companies will again be a premier sponsor for this year\u2019s Walkathon.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are grateful that the Coke-Subway-Foremost-Scoops-Glimpses group of companies will be supporting our \u2018Walk for the Red\u2019 event,\u201d said Tayna Belyeu-Camacho, board chair of the NMI Chapter. \u201cTranspac has a long history of helping our community, particularly with events focused on fitness.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s walkathon will take place on Saipan, Rota, and Tinian on Saturday, March 21. In addition to the 10K course, there will be 5K and Headstart 2K courses for the younger children. A $20 donation to the Red Cross provides entry to the walk, an event T-shirt, prizes and refreshments from Coca-Cola, Subway and Foremost.<\/p>\n<p>The Red Cross walkathon is the largest walking event in Micronesia with more than 3,000 participants.
