Well done.”

The NCLEX-RN tests an individual’s nursing knowledge, skills, and abilities essential to the safe and effective practice of nursing at the entry level. The exam is used by nursing boards in the states and all U.S. territories to award nurse licenses. Licensed nurses may have their credentials endorsed by a state or a territory’s board upon meeting board requirements without having to retake the exam.

For Prado, working in the field of medicine has always been a dream. She chose nursing, she said, “mostly because I like being able to help people in any way I can.” She also acknowledged that her success could not have been done without the motivation and support of her family, “especially my mother who did not pressure me to work, which allowed me to study.”

“NMC also prepared me well for the exam,” said Prado.

Prado shared this advice to students who plan on taking the NCLEX exam: “There is no other way but to really sit yourself down and start reading your book or any other study material. Once you establish a routine, you’ll find it easier and even start to really enjoy reviewing what you’ve learned in nursing school.”

Lizardo’s interest in becoming a nurse was sparked by his mother who is also a nurse.

“My mother is my motivation; she is actually my role model,” said Lizardo. “Hard work, time management, and focus helped me along the way. My parents guided me through every step, and nurtured me with the passion and understanding, that led me to this remarkable accomplishment.”

“NMC’s Nursing program taught me the knowledge, skills, and competence of how to successfully become a registered nurse,” added Lizardo.

For more information about the NMC Nursing program, contact the NMC Nursing Department at 237-6743 or visit the Nursing Department office in Building C at the NMC As Terlaje campus (M-F, 8am- 4:30pm). (NMC)

Two more Northern Marianas College students have just passed the challenging National Council Licensure Examination…

[4
69,262,67,44
post-189664","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-local-news","tag-nmc","tag-northern-marianas-college","tag-people","tag-study
["GET
