{"id":189861,"date":"2015-01-20T04:08:57","date_gmt":"2015-01-19T18:08:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=189861"},"modified":"2015-01-20T04:08:57","modified_gmt":"2015-01-19T18:08:57","slug":"3-get-golden-boot-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/3-get-golden-boot-awards\/","title":{"rendered":"3 get Golden Boot awards"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Team Betde\u2019s Thaiphi Austria scored the most goals in the three divisions plays in the 2014 SSS Christmas Youth Futsal Tournament to lead two other Golden Boot awardees.<\/p>\n<p>Austria, who had a hat-trick in their 7-5 title win over the Lil\u2019 Rascals last Saturday, collected 26 goals in the six games in the double-round robin elimination to take the Golden Boot award in the co-ed U12 division. He edged the Lil\u2019 Rascal\u2019s Mark Esalan for the coveted award as the latter gained 24, while Sisig United\u2019s Rintaro Miyawaki finished third in the race with his 18 goals. The Orange Rangers\u2019 Merrick Toves was ranked fourth in the Golden Boot contest after recording a team-best 13 goals. Other multiple goals scorers in the division were Sisig United\u2019s Eun Syu Hahn (8) and Rinto Takahashi (4), Lil Rascals\u2019 Taka Borja (3), Katherine Magat (3), and Go Sekiguchi (2), Team Betde\u2019s John Michael Rojas (11) and Kohtaro Goto (2), and the Orange Rangers\u2019 Sebastian Manabat (6), and Jaydee Jose (3).<\/p>\n<p>Austria received a medal for his feat during the awards ceremony for the tournament last Saturday night at the TSL Sports Complex, while Matansa\u2019s Angel Sally and Evan Belcher received the same recognition.<\/p>\n<p>Sally earned the Golden Boot award in the girls U15 division after tallying 21 goals. She was the runaway winner and the only player in her division to record more than 10 goals, as second finisher Diana Maniacop of Shirley\u2019s Lady Blues scored only 9. Girly Flowers &#038; Rainbows\u2019 Mary Kay Alferos and the Orange Rangers\u2019 Paulyn Grace Joyce were ranked third and fourth after registering 8 and 6 goals, respectively.<\/p>\n<p><a attid=\"189863\"  href=\"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/sss_photo.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/sss_photo-300x262.jpg\" alt=\"sss_photo\" width=\"300\" height=\"262\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-189863\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Sally and her Matansa team collected 30 goals in the double-round robin elimination with Bernadette Horey and Pinyarat Shankweiller adding 4 apiece and Lyka Sally making 1.  Girly Flowers &#038; Rainbows scored the second most goals in the division (22) with Chloe Salvosa (3), Catherine Barrozo (3), Gillian Villagomez (2), Chevy Kate Alipio (2), Guine Borja (2), and Renita Fleming (1) adding to Alferos\u2019s 8.<\/p>\n<p>Lady Blues had 21 with De Jana Muna chipping in 3, Mia Carreon and Jerlyn Castillo logging 2 each, and Jasmine Phan, Negahr Rastguiy, Magat, and Jobelle Tabuena recording one apiece. Orange Rangers posted 14, getting 5 from Princess Alcantara and one each from Christine Noble, Bernalyn Camacho, and Christelle Itaas besides the 6 of Joyce.<\/p>\n<p>In the boys U15 division, Belcher led the way with his 15 goals, three up against Astig Futsal\u2019s Anthony Fruit. Real Crispy Pata\u2019s Bada Lee had the third best with 7, while the Orange Rangers\u2019 Andrew Omelau finished fourth with 2 goals.<\/p>\n<p>Astig Futsal topped the goals production in the elimination with its 34, followed by Matansa (31), Real Crispy Pata (26), and the Orange Rangers (3).<\/p>\n<p>JC Piring was the second best scorer for Matansa with 6,  followed by Jonah Pohl (4) and Jonathan Capayas and Davy Laxa, who had 3 each. Mareko Tekopua contributed 8 to Astig Futsal, which drew 6 goals  from James Ermitanio and 4 apiece from Joshua De Leon and Hark Galarion. On Real Crispy Pata\u2019s side, Edwin Kim added 6, Cody Leon and Joshua Abragan made 6 each, and Christopher Aninzo had  3, while John Mark Anastacio was only the second scorer for the Orange Rangers, earning one goal.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Sisig United, Girly Flowers &#038; Rainbows, and the Orange Rangers (boys U15) received the fair play award in their respective divisions.
