The Joeten Kiyu Public Library is renovating several areas of the building to ensure safety and a better-suited environment.<\/p>\n
According to JKPL executive director John Gonzales, workers have started renovating the library\u2019s outside premises.<\/p>\n
Several workers painted the fa\u00e7ade of the library\u2019s entrance and the front stairway.<\/p>\n
JKPL technical services librarian Rosalyn Ajoste also noted that several pieces of furniture were added to the library\u2019s lobby.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe added furniture in the lobby area so that readers can also enjoy the comfort of a couch,\u201d Ajoste said.<\/p>\n
The library\u2019s lobby now has couches for readers to use while tables and chairs in the Pacific Collection areas have also been rearranged to create walkthrough space.<\/p>\n
In related news, Ajoste is inviting the community to visit the library tomorrow, Saturday, as author Nelson Krum will be holding a book signing for his new book, Disaster at Bushehr.<\/p>\n
