Samples collected from these locations contained excessive concentrations of fecal indicator bacteria (enterococci) that exceeded the CNMI Marine Water Quality Standards. These bacteria can indicate the presence of human and animal waste in the water. (DEQ)<\/p>\n<p><strong>NMPASI closed on Jan. 30<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Northern\u00a0Marianas Protection &#038; Advocacy Systems, Inc. would like to let the public know that our office will be closed on Jan. 30, 2015, from 8am to 5pm, for Staff Development. Business will resume on Feb. 2, 2015. (PR)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Air Force training at Farallon de Medinilla<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>ASAN, Guam\u2013The U.S. Air Force will conduct training at the island of Farallon de Medinilla today, Jan. 23, from 7am to 2pm. The general public\u2013especially fishermen, commercial pilots, and marine tour operators\u2013are advised to stay clear from the area during the dates and times indicated. The general location of the training on the island of Farallon de Medinilla will be on a 10-nautical mile radius on all quadrants. (PR)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Chamber Installation Dinner tomorrow<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Saipan Chamber of Commerce will have no general membership meeting this month.\u00a0 Instead it will celebrate with its Installation Dinner tomorrow, Jan. 24, at the Hibiscus Hall of the Fiesta Resort and Spa Saipan.\u00a0The Chamber will welcome its newest board members and will announce its 2014 Business Person of the Year.\u00a0\u00a0A silent auction will offer fabulous prizes!
