The Commonwealth Healthcare Corp. has issued a request for proposal for consulting organizations experienced in analyzing and coming up with a pay plan for the current and future staff of the hospital.<\/p>\n
This RFP will help update the corporation\u2019s classification system and salary range to re-establish the corporation\u2019s position in the labor market in relation to other healthcare employers and allow CHCC to remain competitive in the job market, said CEO Esther Mu\u00f1a.<\/p>\n
The consultant will look into CHCC\u2019s internal salary relationships and establish internal equity between classes, better progression in career opportunities for its employees, consistency in job titling, identify pay strategies and policies enabling CHCC to maintain a fair and competitive pay plan, and ensure that job descriptions comply with laws and regulations and include essential and marginal jobs.<\/p>\n
Mu\u00f1a said the consultant will meet with the corporation\u2019s officers, managers, and employees to discuss study plan and updates. This will help the consultant describe positions, salary schedules, organization charts and other job-related information.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe consultant will conduct desk audits or interview with employees in each class and supervisors to review, clarify, and understand duties and responsibilities,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
The consultant will look at salary levels in rural areas in the United States, the CNMI, and other areas in the Pacific and make recommendations on what is appropriate for the CNMI.<\/p>\n
They will also evaluate the salary grade for each class and recommend a salary implementation plan.<\/p>\n
Mu\u00f1a said the RFP will be for the whole corporation, including the Rota and Tinian health centers.<\/p>\n
