The 17-year-old MP United soccer player signed a National Letter of Intent yesterday, formally pledging to attend the institution for four years with an athletic scholarship.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_191167\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-191167\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a attid=\"191167\"  href=\"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Enrico-Del-Rosario-pix.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Enrico-Del-Rosario-pix-300x240.jpg\" alt=\"MP United soccer player and Mount Carmel School senior Enrico Del Rosario inks his National Letter of Intent declaring Alderson Broaddus University as his chosen school.\u00a0(Thomas Manglona II)\" width=\"300\" height=\"240\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-191167\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-191167\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">MP United soccer player and Mount Carmel School senior Enrico Del Rosario inks his National Letter of Intent declaring Alderson Broaddus University as his chosen school.\u00a0(Thomas Manglona II)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Alderson Broaddus University, located in Philippi, West Virginia, is a member of the United States National Collegiate Athletic Association and will officially receive Del Rosario\u2019s Letter of Intent today, on National Signing Day.<\/p>\n<p>The Mount Carmel School senior student said he is both relieved and humbled to have signed the letter of intent. \u201cAfter nine years of playing hard until I graduate, it is a great feeling,\u201d he told Saipan Tribune.<\/p>\n<p>Del Rosario has been a part of many local and national soccer tournaments and was recently licensed as a soccer coach and is currently training MP United\u2019s U15 girls soccer team.<\/p>\n<p>Del Rosario started playing soccer when he was just 8 years old. In a previous interview with this reporter, the athlete said, \u201cSoccer has been good to me over the years and I\u2019m capitalizing on that opportunity to get a good education.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He added, \u201cI chose this school because the football program is amazing. I had a great conversation with the coach and it\u2019s very exciting. From the fields, players, and staff, it\u2019s all great.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He plans to pursue a degree in sports science while playing U.S. NCAA soccer.<\/p>\n<p>His father, Norman Del Rosario, said he is proud of his son\u2019s accomplishment. \u201cHe worked so hard for it.
