Carmel School, 74-36, for its 11th straight win, while SSHS kept Marianas Baptist Academy winless after hammering out a 76-42 decision.

Southern currently sits in second place with a 7-3 record followed by MCS’ 7-4 slate. MHS could have swept the elimination round as it was still playing MBA at press time.

The Dolphins found themselves trailing by a point after the first 10 minutes of play as William Camacho scored 8 of the Knights’ 16 points.

But MCS wasn’t ready for a flood of points and like a sleeping giant, MHS poured in 24 markers in the second quarter to enter the break enjoying a 39-23 spread.

MHS did not slow down from there while turnovers and hurried shots did not help Mt. Carmel’s cause.

Ethan Manalili scored the Dolphins’ first 10 points in the first quarter and finished with 12, while Michael Espinosa and Kobee Mendoza chipped in 11 and 9 markers each.
