Eloy S. Inos, DPL Secretary Pete A. Tenorio will stay as the department’s chief because Inos “still needs” Tenorio in the ongoing discussions on public lands to be leased to casino resort operator Best Sunshine International, Ltd.

Inos said the DPL “will soon conclude” talks with Best Sunshine, but he gave no other details.

Best Sunshine has been granted an exclusive license to operate a casino on Saipan. The company said it plans to build a multi-billion-dollar integrated resort in the Commonwealth.

As for DCCA Secretary Laura Ogumoro, the governor says she is staying until a replacement is named.

Inos said the DCCA chief is also set to meet with her staff, to talk about some of the staff’s concerns.

DCCA employees earlier sought the ouster of Ogumoro through a complaint letter sent to Capital Hill. The complaint centered on Oguomoro’s alleged mismanagement of DCCA.

Ogumoro last week said she continues to carry out her responsibilities in making improvements at the department despite several staff concerns over her leadership.

She also dismissed the allegations, saying these are intended only to disrupt her ongoing work for DCCA.

The Office of the Governor, meanwhile, released the appointment letter of Robert A.
