(Contributed Photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Linda Look, a former resident of Guam and daughter of the late Dwight Look, recently donated a property gift to the University of Guam totaling 1.2 million square meters located in the villages of Inarajan, Piti, Chalan Pago, Talofofo, Yigo, and Yona with an estimated cash value of $4 million.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI want the property to be used now so that current and future students are able to obtain their educational goals,\u201d said Look.<\/p>\n<p>UOG president Dr. Robert A. Underwood described the donation as \u201cthe largest single contribution that UOG has received and we are extremely grateful to her for remembering Guam, her childhood home.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mark Mendiola, UOG Endowment Foundation executive director, said: \u201cWe thank Ms. Look for her contribution to the University of Guam. This estate planned giving is an example of how members of our community can help build a campus for many students and generations to come.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The University of Guam\u2019s 60th Anniversary Capital Campaign\u2019s effort to raise $30 million aims to provide Guam\u2019s students with the necessary tools and resources to compete in an ever-changing global economy.<\/p>\n<p>According to Look, \u201cUOG\u2019s vision of a 21st century campus is also my own.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Appreciation dinner<\/strong><br \/>\nLook was one of many donors recognized at the University of Guam Endowment Foundation\u2019s annual Donor Appreciation Dinner. Look was recognized as a University of Guam 21st-century Visionary, a fundraising category of individuals who donate at a $100,000 level and above.
