{"id":193296,"date":"2015-03-06T04:00:55","date_gmt":"2015-03-05T18:00:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=193296"},"modified":"2015-03-06T04:00:55","modified_gmt":"2015-03-05T18:00:55","slug":"chcc-contracting-cfo-consulting-firm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/chcc-contracting-cfo-consulting-firm\/","title":{"rendered":"CHCC contracting CFO through consulting firm"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Almost seven months has past and the Commonwealth Healthcare Corp. still has no financial chief to assist in the corporation\u2019s finances.<\/p>\n<p>CHCC chief executive officer Esther Mu\u00f1a said that they are finally looking at possibly hiring one individual to become the corporation\u2019s financial chief through a healthcare consulting company.<\/p>\n<p>Former CHCC CFO Jack Taitague resigned from the post in August last year, just a few months after being hired.<\/p>\n<p>Mu\u00f1a told Saipan Tribune Wednesday via email that they are considering hiring a former hospital CFO. She did not disclose the individual\u2019s name as the contracting process still ongoing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe will have the same roles and responsibilities as the interim CFO, which includes preparing the monthly financial statements, working with the auditors, updating the charge master, among many others,\u201d Mu\u00f1a said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe experience of this former hospital CFO is extremely valuable for CHCC as it continues to improve its services,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p>Last October CHCC chose a candidate from the U.S. mainland but the recruitment didn\u2019t pan out.
