San Vicente Elementary School thanked its donors and community partners with an appreciation ceremony last Friday morning for their help in support of school projects.<\/p>\n

Students held an assembly in the grass field near the school stage, loudly thanking these donors. The school presented the donors with plaques of appreciation.<\/p>\n

Parent Teacher Association president Wayne Pangelinan said these donors helped put in money for the school\u2019s new walkway, pathway lights, a gate, and flagpole, among others.<\/p>\n

They have also helped with repairing a dysfunctional bathroom, which is ongoing, he said.<\/p>\n

Mobil Chalan Kiya and Mobil Kagman had donated $500, he said.<\/p>\n

Rep. Edmund Villagomez (Ind-Saipan) donated $500 as well.<\/p>\n

The Pacific Island Club Saipan, Island Training Solutions, Island Rent-a-Car, IT&E, and Moylan\u2019s Insurance, among several others, contributed $200.<\/p>\n

An Islands Training Solutions representative at the ceremony said their donations are \u201cto support the school.\u201d \u201cIf somebody asks for a donation, then Mr. Arenovski [Island Training Solutions sole proprietor] is very generous of that, because he supports the island and everything going on in the island,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe feel the students are important. We feel that learning is also important, and we give to the school to help support it in its goal in whatever the school would need the money for. It\u2019s always a pleasure. It melts the heart, when we do things like this,\u201d said a Mobil representative.<\/p>\n

The donors were part of PTA\u2019s successful Canary Walkathon recently.<\/p>\n

Pangelinan said they are looking to hold another event, this time for parents and adults only. He said this comedy night and dinner is planned for June.<\/p>\n
