Aldan earned the judges\u2019 nods to top their respective divisions. Aldan ruled the senior men\u2019s physique category.<\/p>\n<p>Cruz, a senior at Marianas High School who placed third in last year\u2019s Dee Clayton Classic, said he it was his older brother Christian who introduced him to bodybuilding that\u2019s why he wants to encourage other teenagers to try it.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_193534\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-193534\" style=\"width: 188px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a attid=\"193534\"  href=\"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/CBBF-pix-Cruz.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/CBBF-pix-Cruz-188x300.jpg\" alt=\"Nathaniel Cruz\" width=\"188\" height=\"300\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-193534\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-193534\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Nathaniel Cruz<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cMy brother inspired me to lift weights. He was the first one to take up bodybuilding and I want other youth to do the same. To have a physical activity, to keep them away from vices,\u201d said Cruz, who is planning to join a future bodybuilding event.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBodybuilding is not that easy since you will have to follow a strict diet and have to work out everyday.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He added that he prepared for three months in order to achieve his desired body definition that earned him his first win in a physique competition.<\/p>\n<p>Cruz will go to college in the Philippines where he hopes to take up a course either in business management or computer science.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m still choosing a university but my goal is to also compete in Manila, so I could be well-known in the Philippines,\u201d Cruz added with a laugh.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_193535\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-193535\" style=\"width: 187px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a attid=\"193535\"  href=\"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/CBBF-pix-Decena.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/CBBF-pix-Decena-187x300.jpg\" alt=\"Ella Decena\" width=\"187\" height=\"300\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-193535\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-193535\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Ella Decena<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Decena, a pilates instructor at Gold\u2019s Gym, is no stranger to competition after winning last year\u2019s Supermom and placing third behind winner Ferleen Esmundo in the bikini division of the 2013 Dee Clayton Classic.<\/p>\n<p>The mother of five said that she wants to be a role model to others like her that it is not too late to get fit.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI want to be a role model and become an inspiration to other mothers on Saipan that you can still achieve the body and weight that you desire,\u201d said Decena, who arrived on Saipan in 2000.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWorking out, lifting weights, or doing any physical activity is a way to relieve you of everyday stress. I encourage everyone to do the same for you to enjoy a longer life,\u201d Decena added.<\/p>\n<p>She was saddened that only her and Valerie De Mesa joined last Saturday\u2019s competition. \u201cThere were four of us in 2013. A lot would love to join but they\u2019re not yet ready for the competition. I hope to see them next time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Marck A. Calage placed second to Cruz while Anthony Agulto, Won Jong Seo, and Joseph Taitano are the other competitors in the junior men\u2019s physique.<\/p>\n<p>Gerald Galang, who placed second in the men\u2019s physique of last year\u2019s Dee Clayton Classic, again had a runner-up finish.
