{"id":194195,"date":"2015-03-18T04:00:48","date_gmt":"2015-03-17T18:00:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=194195"},"modified":"2015-03-18T04:00:48","modified_gmt":"2015-03-17T18:00:48","slug":"12-homes-completely-destroyed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/12-homes-completely-destroyed\/","title":{"rendered":"\u201812 homes completely destroyed\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It\u2019s been a busy and exhausting 36 hours for the American Red Cross NMI Chapter with the recent passage of Tropical Storm Bavi.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at the Saipan Rotary Club weekly meeting yesterday, ARC NMI Chapter executive director John Hirsch said that 12 homes on Saipan were completely destroyed. (Dennis B. Chan)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Besides the 12 homes destroyed, 20 homes reported major damage, and 25 reported minor damage. Five of the emergency calls were from homes that turned out were still habitable, but gave reports that their shutters were disjointed, for example, he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur teams are out [yesterday] providing individual casework,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, they did \u201cwindshield assessments,\u201d like taking pictures.
