Tenorio Multi-Purpose Center in Susupe.

CNMI Women’s Association chair Rep. Felicidad T. Ogumoro (R-Saipan) said the summit seeks to highlight the CWA’s mission, which is to ensure that women are fully engaged in the political, economic, and social development of the CNMI. It is also in line with this month’s celebration of Women’s Month.

“When CWA was put together, we worked to ensure that we have a strategic plan that included our vision, mission, and goals. We wanted to make sure that it was put out and we refer to those every time and not lose track of what we have to do,” Ogumoro said.

“This will help because we will eventually have women fully participating and fully engaged in the development of the CNMI,” she added.

The first Women’s Summit was in 2013.
